Terms of service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Dara for using the app at app.dara.coach. Please read them with our privacy policy, which says what we do with personal data. By creating an account or a club, you accept both.
1. Who we are
Dara is run by Clinton Sweetnam in Ireland (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@dara.coach.
2. Accounts and clubs
- You must be at least 16 to have an account, or have a parent’s or guardian’s consent arranged by your club.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Whoever creates a club is its owner. If you create a club for an organisation, you confirm you may act for it, and the club accepts these terms through you. Owners decide who joins and what each member may do.
- A club needs at least one owner. If you leave, hand ownership to someone else first.
3. Your club’s content
Everything a club puts into Dara stays the club’s: match video, clips, the squad list, drills, session plans, tactics and presentations. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people your club allows, only so that we can run the service for you. We claim no other right to it.
When you upload or add content, you confirm that:
- your club has the right to film the matches and training it uploads, under any rules of your league, venue or opponents;
- your club has the consent it needs from the people in it, including a parent or guardian for players under 18, to record them and to store and share the footage in Dara;
- nothing you add is unlawful, or infringes anyone else’s rights.
4. Personal data we process for your club
For the personal data in your club’s content, your club is the controller and we are its processor. This section is the processing agreement GDPR requires between the two of us. We will:
- process it only to provide Dara, and on your club’s instructions, which are these terms and how you use the app;
- make sure anyone who can access it is bound to keep it confidential;
- keep it secure, with encryption in transit, passwords stored only as hashes, and access limited to what each role needs;
- use only the providers named in our privacy policy, under contracts that protect the data in the same way, and tell you before we add or replace one, so you can object;
- help you answer requests from people exercising their data rights, and with any data-protection assessment you need to make;
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your club’s data;
- delete it, or give you a copy first if you ask, when your club leaves Dara;
- give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met.
The data is about your players, coaches and members: names, shirt numbers, positions, email addresses of invited players, match video and what players do with the clips sent to them. It is processed for as long as your club uses Dara.
When a coach uses Ask Dara, the assistant in the app, the message and the club content it needs are sent to Anthropic, our subprocessor for it, to write the reply. Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days, except as our privacy policy says. Match video and email addresses are never sent. A conversation is kept for 30 days after its last message, and only the coach who had it can see it.
5. Using Dara fairly
Please do not:
- upload footage of people who have not agreed to it, or that you have no right to share;
- use Dara to harass, embarrass or single out anyone, players included;
- try to get into another club’s data, or to break, overload or work around the service or its limits;
- resell Dara, or copy it to build a competing product.
A coach can share a presentation or video by link. Anyone with the link can see it until it is revoked, so share links with care.
6. Plans and payment
- The Coach plan is free, with the limits shown on our pricing. Paid plans add teams, coaches and hours of video.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. They are sold through Link, Stripe’s reseller service, which is the seller of record: it takes the payment, adds VAT where it applies, and sends the receipts. Prices are in pounds or euros before VAT.
- A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- 30-day money back. If a paid plan is not for you, email hello@dara.coach within 30 days of your first payment, or within 30 days of a yearly renewal, and we refund it in full, for any reason. The club moves to the free plan and keeps everything it has. Our refund policy says how.
- You can cancel at any time. Outside those 30 days, the plan stays in place until the end of the period you have paid for, and the time left is not refunded. Your rights under consumer law, such as a cooling-off period, still apply.
- If a payment fails, we keep your plan for two weeks while we retry. After that, the club moves to the free plan.
- On a smaller plan, or the free one, nothing is deleted. A club over its limits keeps everything it has, and cannot add more until it is back within them.
- We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
7. The service
We work to keep Dara available, safe and backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or because a provider fails. We improve Dara all the time, and may change or remove features. If we remove something your club relies on, we will give you notice and help you take your data with you.
8. Ending
- You can stop using Dara at any time. Ask us and we will close your account or your club and delete its data within one month.
- We may suspend or close an account or a club that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example by uploading footage without consent. Unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
- If we ever close Dara, we will give at least 60 days’ notice, and time for clubs to take a copy of their data.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, and our total liability to a club in any year is limited to what the club paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100 if it paid nothing.
If you use Dara as a consumer, these terms do not affect your rights under consumer law.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell owners in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
11. Law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and the courts of Ireland decide any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the law where you live, and may bring a claim there.
12. Contact
